Company Background
PearBee is an online peer learning platform that connects Malaysia secondary students and teacher in flourishing knowledge-sharing about school courses in a more flexible and accessible way. PearBee is founded in 2019 by a group of university students who found a need for the existence of this kind of platform for education purpose, especially for secondary students.
PearBee features on forum style of questions and answers (QnA) service, where students can easily ask subject-related questions by posting questions in forms of texts or images to the platform to seek for assistance from online peers or teachers. Initially, PearBee only caters to five core subjects, namely Malay language, English language, Mathematics, Science, and History, for the secondary students who are under Form 1 to Form 5.
Why did it call PearBee?
“PearBee” is made up by the words of “Pear” and “Bee”. The reasons of founders named the company as “PearBee” is because “Pear” is the homophones of pair, which symbolizes the platform is meant for pairing the students with their peers or teacher in Malaysia.
The “a” words in the company name is replaced by a 180° reversed “e”, because it symbolizes the main function of this platform, which is peer learning.

The founders choose “bee” to match with the first word is because the bee is an animal which is hardworking with high teamwork and high intelligence, so the founders hope the students who use this platform can have the spirit of bee in making their education a success.
